I have had two dreams in the last couple of weeks that I believe may be warnings of some difficult days ahead. One was a very large dark cloud on the distant horizon. The other was two tornadoes much closer, but still at a distance. Neither I was in the midst of, I just could see them approaching.
I believe the larger storm may be global or national and the other two smaller storms, personal. Not all dreams are meant to be interpreted, some are just a cumulation of our thoughts. However, I believe these two specific dreams I had were from God. The details were vivid and I woke with an understanding of the intent and purpose God may have givien them to me.
Why would God warn me in a dream? It’s because we have an enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. He is the Father of Lies and uses those lies to bring accusation against God and those created in His image. If he can cause loss, death, and destruction and get me to believe it came from God, he has succeeded in his schemes.
When the hard times come, we must hold on to truth. God is for us. He loves us. He will never abandon us. Will we at times experience difficulties in life? Absolutely. Will at times the battles be hard and long? It’s inevitable. But, if we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will not be shaken. He will bring us through and will make everything work together for good.
I have no fear of the future for the Lord Himself is with me and will walk with me in every storm and every battle, whether they be physical or spiritual. My hope, my rock, the truth and evidence lie in the infallible, living Word of God!
